Frank Ocean is dope.
Went to see Frank Ocean last night at the House of Blues and found out afterwards that it was the first show of his 6 city tour (only 3 in the states). Kind of felt like we were all witnessing something special. His mom and family were there, Tyler the Creator was there, people sang all the words to songs that have only released on mixtapes. I could be reaching, but it was almost like seeing the very first concert of a Kanye or a Maxwell or a Wayne. I just see big things for him and Odd Future in the future (see what I did there?). Lucky for you Whitney got it all on camera from one of the best spots in the house. I love this video!
dope. x Agenda
We've been invited to show-our-stuff at the upcoming Agenda Trade Show in Long Beach this January. The show is an invite-only convention that focuses on streetwear and dope. has been has been selected to be one of the 70 brands featured in their PRIMER section. In it's 4th year, the PRIMER is "dedicated exclusively to young emerging brands, which embody the same independent, artistic spirit on which Agenda was founded". So uhhhh...yeah, I'm excited. Hustle mode until then.
Dee-1 is dope.
Caught up with the One Man Army, Dee-1 this weekend and chatted it up about everything from world domination to his idea of what it means to be dope. With two videos currently in rotation on MTV Jams and performing in shows across the country, I'd say he's pretty dope. All in all, the definition may vary but the common idea remains the same.
