DIG Big Into Literacy.
Lockout, schmockout. Glen "Big Baby" Davis is putting his downtime to good use with his non-profit, The Big Baby Foundation. Last night, Baton Rouge was invited out for one of its first events, "DIG Big into Literacy" which will kickstart a book tour promoting literacy to kids. While working with Glen and his camp on the foundation t-shirt, I was able to catch a glimpse of its big plans for the future (pun intended) and you'll want to keep an eye out for the next event.
Ollie on Freret.
Went to check out Ollie, a brand new shop out in New Orleans, yesterday and you should too. Hosting skateboard camps and stocking some of the biggest brands out right now, Ollie is already making waves only being 7 months old. It's right next door to Dat Dog too so after you've gone by and said whattup to Zella, go there and order the Louisiana Hot Sauasage with a side order of chili cheese fries. Thank me (and ask your stomach for forgiveness) later.

I Love The South.
KJ, curator for h1gher.com, has a definite way with words and I couldn't have said this any better myself. It is time for us, as "southern street wear enthusiasts", to take matters into our own hands and create our own lane. At his recent Big Mix event, designed to bring southern creatives together, KJ takes a moment to talk about doing just that.
