It’s always dope hearing/seeing fresh artists on the come-up in Baton Rouge. Black Card Grippers and Back To Hip-Hop collaborated on a cypher featuring some of Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s best uprising artists.
Part one features Chris James, $onny McFlyy, Mannie IL, and Que Tha Truth.
Part two features D-Lain, Dave $tokes, Barin The Great, AR, & LG.
Funny (or not so funny story): Delivery for these beanies was on February 7, 2013. Unfortunately, pick-up wasn’t possible until about 5 days later which meant the package was returned. There was no point being upset because it wasn’t any one’s fault (although the postal lady may have been a little too happy to say that the box had been sent back), just bad timing. It’s now the end of March and these babies have finally found their way home with just enough “cool” days left to enjoy.
50 available in black & heather grey at $20.
OG Ron C blessed us with a chopped (never slopped) version of Beyonce’s “Bow Down” and THIS should have been the single. The best part about screw is the placement of the chops and this is perfection. S/o to Screeeewston.
The first pair of “36oz” sweatpants were so good, it was necessary to double back. These feature the same heavyweight, fleece lined construction, ribbed waist & leg openings with pockets; as well as a white drawcord this go-round. And ain’t nothing wrong with wearing sweats everyday. If someone complains, it’s probably because they’re jealous of how comfortable you look. Available in S-2XL, $45.

TDG had the opportunity to sponsor an official SXSW showcase this past weekend in Austin, TX. Familiar faces such as LG, Le$ and Kevin Gates hit the stage to perform as we slung the dope. Thank you to everyone that came by the booth, bought something, or just stopped to say whaddup! The experience was well worth it and we can’t wait to attend again next year.
The city of ATX feels so friendly, that you might walk around at 2am in search of your car and think nothing of it. The biggest negative of the trip was the enormous amount of walking. The biggest positive was being able to see “free” shows and lineups that wouldn’t be possible anywhere else. There was little bit of everything for everyone if you don’t mind searching.
Luckily, SXSW is so huge you’re bound to run into at 10 people that you know. Was able to check out a few of the homies perform: Dustin Prestige, Dee-1, & JayKell.

NOLA Fashion Week was a huge success! Because the hard work that goes into shows often goes unappreciated, here’s a few behind-the-scenes snaps.

Special thanks to those that copped a pair of “36oz” sweats. The goal was to make a pair so comfortable it would be hard to take them off. Mission accomplished.

Going in to this Drop, the goal was to do a collection that was more than just t-shirts. Sweats, 5-panels and socks are all items well overdo but worth the wait. Below is a description of each piece and its inspiration. Size and quantity info is there as well. Unfortunately this drop is “limited” due to its detail, but there will be more colorways in the sweats for sure. SHOP.
“36oz” Sweats – heather/red, S-2XL 45 available There’s no greater level of comfort than wearing a sweatshirt on your legs. The “36oz sweatpants are heavyweight, fleeced lined with double-stitched seams, ribbed waist & leg openings, and most importantly deep enough pockets so that your keys won’t fall out. The flat braided drawcord is embedded into the band for less chances of losing it, and in loud red just in case you do.
“Brand” 5-Panel - red/camo, 50 available It’s better to be subtle even when you’re standing out. The “Brand” 5-panel sports an imprinted leather patch on the front and embroidery on the back. Red crown, camouflage bill with adjustable nylon strap. “$$” 5-Panel – black/camo, 50 available In THEDOPEGAME, it’s all about the dollar $$ days. Black crown, camouflage bill, embroidered front & back with adjustable nylon strap.
“Luxe” 5-PANEL This hat mixes the youth of the 5-panel and the “grandpa swag” of faux leather. Simplicity is key. Black on black with a hint of gold, embroidered front & back with adjustable nylon strap.
For PART TWO of the drop there will FINALLY be SOCKS. Dubbed “Lichtenstein” crew socks because they feature artwork by artist, Roy Lichtenstein (don’t sue!) at the ankle and toe. Both white and grey colorways will drop with a matching tee. (Note: Tee color is white.)
